Small Business Liberation Act

Exempts small businesses from tariffs imposed pursuant to the national emergency declared on April 2, 2025, by the President.

Under section 3 of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 632), a “small business” is:

  • Independently owned and operated,
  • Not dominant in its field of operation,
  • And qualifies under SBA size standards.

Businesses can use the SBA Size Standards Tool to determine if they qualify under the standard.
