The bill would require device manufacturers to determine or estimate a device user’s age and share an age signal via an API when a user attempts to access a website, application, application store, or online service that requires age verification.

When a website, application, or online service makes available a substantial portion of mature content, it shall recognize and receive digital age signals and block access if an age signal is received indicating a user is under eighteen years of age.
