Age verification mandate. Relevant features:
- violators (including individual employees of a website) are subject to third degree felony charges and civil lawsuits
- age verification mechanisms allowed:
- photo identification
- public or private transactional data
- includes an affirmative defense for sites that use the verification methods specified
- minors using false ID are subject to fourth degree misdemeanor charges
Bill also includes prohibition on creation or dissemination of non-consensual deepfakes.
Goes into effect on the 91st day following the bill's filing with the Secretary of State for final enrollment.
