Rhode Island H 7746 (Children's Online Safety Act) is not specifically targeted at the adult industry, it applies to any platform that allows users to create profiles, post content viewable by others, and socially interact with other users as a significant part of its functionality.

Covered platforms must use "commercially reasonable age-verification methods" to identify users under 18. The Attorney General will issue regulations defining what qualifies, taking into account the platform's size, its audience, and prevailing industry standards

The law would be enforced by the Attorney General with penalties up to $5,000 per violation
