EARN IT’s Back

Once again, the terrible, no good, very bad EARN IT Act has been reintroduced in Congress.

The Bad Age Verification News

  • Montana’s SB 544 passed. The law will go into effect on January 1, 2024.
  • Texas’ HB 1181 (Louisiana copycat) and SB 2021 (copycat plus “health warnings”) both advanced in the last 2 weeks.
  • Alabama’s device filter bill passed out of the Commerce and Small Business committee.

The Better Age Verification News

On the brighter side, both of Florida’s bizarre anti-porn bills (SB 472 & 1620) failed to pass before the end of the 2023 legislative session on May 5th.
