Introduces regulations related to the deactivation of device filters on tablets and smartphones sold in Utah.
Effective from January 1, 2025, it mandates that devices activated in the state must include a filter capable of blocking obscene material. Manufacturers are held liable for civil and criminal penalties if their devices fail to comply, and they are subject to legal action by the Attorney General.
